FOLDY GOLF / SUPPORT
A FEW WRINKLES?
Let’s find you a fresh angle.
Spotted a wrinkle?
Ideas, questions, unexpectedly airborne golf balls. We’d love to hear from you.
For a bug report, tell us your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version, the course and hole, and what you expected to happen. A screenshot or short recording helps. Please leave out personal or sensitive information.
Getting into the fold
- Aim and shoot. Pull back from the ball to aim and set your power. Release to take the shot.
- Shape the course. Move the fold slider while the ball rolls. On iPhone Duo, the physical hinge can control the fold on the inner display. In Settings, you can choose the slider instead.
- Find another angle. A fold changes the slopes and moves pop-up scenery. Try changing when you fold, not just how much.
A few useful answers
Do I need an account or Game Center?
You don’t need to create a Foldy Golf account. Game Center is used for the Daily leaderboard. You can play the courses without signing in to Game Center.
What works without an internet connection?
Bundled courses and the bundled fallback Daily work offline. The latest hosted Daily and tuning need a connection, as do Game Center leaderboards. If the app can’t fetch an update, it uses cached or bundled data.
How does the Daily work?
There are three holes for the day. Your first completed attempt is scored; you can replay without changing that scored attempt. The app uses your device’s local date. Keep its date and time correct for the intended challenge.
The fold isn’t doing what I expect.
On iPhone or iPad, use the on-screen slider. The centre is flat; moving either way folds the course, and the slider stays where you leave it. On the Duo’s inner display, you can use its hinge or select the slider in Settings. Try a different amount of fold, or change the timing while the ball is rolling.
Can I reduce movement or turn off sound?
Settings includes sound, haptics and motion options. Motion can follow your system preference, or you can choose reduced motion in the app.
Where is my progress stored?
Course progress, settings and lifetime stats are stored on your device. Cloud sync is not currently part of the game. Deleting the app can remove local progress; contact us before reinstalling if you are trying to resolve a problem.
How do I turn off usage analytics?
Turn off “Share anonymous usage data” in Settings. This stops future analytics events and clears the app’s unsent analytics queue. Read the privacy policy for details.
